Initially a branch office was opened in Valletta Malta to serve the armed forces. The Malta branch office imported bulk beer from the Reading brewery, bottled it on the island, and then sold it to the various military canteens. Certain beers that traveled better, like Milk Stout, were imported already bottled.

The smart offices were in a very fine building near the entrance to Valletta, facing the bombed out Opera House, which was refurbished in about 2017.
